01Who we are

The Pineapple (UEN 202111469Z) (“The Pineapple”, “we”, “us”) is an app development and web design studio based in Singapore. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you visit thepineapple.io, contact us or work with us, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to reply to you and deliver our work:

• Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number and company.
• Project information you share in forms, emails or calls, such as what you want to build, budget range and timeline.
• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, if you subscribe to our launch notes.
• Usage data collected automatically: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referring site, through cookies and analytics tools.

Please don’t send us sensitive personal data (such as NRIC numbers or health information) through our forms.

03How we use it

• To reply to enquiries and prepare proposals and quotes.
• To deliver, support and maintain the projects you engage us for.
• To send launch notes and updates you have subscribed to. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it.
• To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

04Consent

By submitting a form, emailing us or subscribing, you consent to us collecting and using your personal data for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a project or service that depends on it, and we will tell you if that is the case.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email, form, analytics and project-management tools, under confidentiality obligations.
• Partner agencies working on your project, only where you have agreed to it.
• Authorities, where the law requires us to.

06Transfers outside Singapore

Our team works across Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia, and some of our service providers store data overseas. When personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we take steps to make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

07Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work, and analytics cookies to understand traffic and improve our pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not.

08How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, accounting records). After that, we delete or anonymise it.

09How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and reputable cloud providers, to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
• correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete;
• stop using your data for marketing, or withdraw consent.

We will respond within 30 days. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests, and will tell you the amount beforehand.
